Questions
- What counts as a run?
- Every time a runbook starts, it counts as one run, however many steps it has. It doesn't matter what started it: the Run button, your agent, your app, a webhook, a schedule or a watcher. A retry your app sends with the same idempotency key doesn't count, and neither does a run that stops before its first step or fails because of a problem on our side. Building and editing runbooks, connecting services, and your agent's direct calls outside a runbook don't count either. On Free, those direct calls have their own limit of 10,000 a month.
- How often can a schedule run?
- As often as every minute, on every plan. Each time a schedule fires it uses one run, so a schedule that runs every 5 minutes uses about 8,640 runs a month, more than Free's 1,000. When you set one up, you'll see how many runs a month it will use.
- What is a watcher check?
- A watcher checks one of your connections on a timer (for new issues in a repo, say) and starts a run for each new item it finds. Every time it looks counts as one check, and all your watchers share the month's checks. If you use them up, your watchers check less often until the month resets, but they keep running.
- When do my runs reset?
- Every month. On Free it's the 1st, and on paid plans it's your billing date. Yearly plans reset every month too.
- What happens when I reach my limit?
- Anything already running finishes. If you, your agent or your app tries to start a new run, it's refused with a link to upgrade, and your app gets a clear error back. Runs from webhooks and schedules wait instead: each one queues up to 100 of them, and when your runs come back, you have 7 days to run or clear the queue. Watchers keep checking, and start runs for anything new once you have runs again. We email you once, the first time something waits. You're never charged extra.
- Is there a free trial?
- There's a free plan instead. It never expires and doesn't need a card. Paid plans add more runs, faster watchers and room for teammates.
- Can I change my plan or my runs?
- Yes, any time. Moving up, to a bigger plan or more runs, happens right away, and you only pay the difference for the rest of your billing period. Moving down or cancelling takes effect when the period you paid for ends. If a watcher checks more often than your new plan allows, it slows down to match, and if the new plan has room for fewer people, the workspace's owner chooses who stays before the change takes effect. Your runbooks and your history stay in the workspace.
- Can I pay yearly?
- Yes. At any number of runs, a year costs the same as ten months: Pro with 10,000 runs is $200 a year instead of $240.
- Do you offer refunds?
- No, except where the law requires one. You can cancel any time, and your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
- Can my team use it?
- Yes. Pro adds one teammate to your workspace, and Team adds as many teammates as you need. A Free workspace has one member: you. Your agents, apps, webhooks, schedules and watchers never count as teammates.
- I'm in more than one workspace. What does my plan cover?
- One workspace. Each workspace has its own plan, so upgrading one leaves your other workspaces as they are. You choose which workspace when you upgrade.
